Ever heard of Mark Helprin? Fantastic author. My favorite book of his is called Winter's Tale. Historical and fantastical and rather difficult to explain.

Anyway, my favorite scene in the book is two boys at dinner with their father and sister. Earlier in the evening they were looking at dirty pictures, and so as not to get caught with their booty (so to speak) they hid the pictures in the floorboards of their room, which just happened to be above the dining room. All during dinner, they imagine that the pictures are burning a hole through the floor. And they do! Falling right into their father's lap!
You gotta love a brain like that!
